After a year of death threats, skulduggery and outright mischief Mason Storm finally revealed the ‘face’ of the illusive street artists Banksy. The reveal was the most eagerly awaited and talked about urban art event in years, and the result was a carefully perpetrated hoax by Mason aimed at as he said;
“ Shaking things up for a laugh”.
The event attracted worldwide interest and attention and set the urban art forums alight with discussion, disgust and dissent!
Mason also launched his ‘Mason Knows’ campaign which saw people from all over the world from L.A. to Afghanistan, New York to New Zealand holding aloft a Mason Knows poster in the hope of winning a special one off sculpture.
The New Bedlam Art Asylum in conjunction with Gallery 90 and Warehouse 45 were happy to help Mason achieve his aim even if he did keep us all in the dark until he finally pulled the curtain!
